About the Manuscript

Where Katarina Leon's body begins, and the earth ends, has never been easy to define. Her powers of transformation blur the boundaries between the environment and her human form. When her family moves to the Bronx, NY, she struggles to remain unnoticed. Katarina is pushed to understand herself, and the world around her, before it is too late. Will she, with the help of her new friends, be able to understand her trans-corporeal self before the world unravels?

In this coming-of-age story, one teenage girl's journey to reconnect with the people around her and with the earth, explores pathways towards hope in a time of climate change.
